CSS Design Awards Special Kudos
In a small village in the Turin hills, just outside the hamlet of San Genesio, stands a historic restaurant with a young heart. The owner, Simone Capello, a traveler with an international career behind him, has the merit of having put away suitcase and passport to listen to the call of the land of origin and reopen a symbolic restaurant of his country.
For this project I was asked to create a website with modern and clean design, reflecting the new management but making the user feel the centenary history of the restaurant. I worked in collaboration with Gabriele Guareschi, who created the new logo, and with Geef Narrazioni who dealt with copywriting.
The role of photography
Photography played a fundamental role in the realization of this project. A careful selection of the shots was made to better represent every aspect of the restaurant, alternating details of everyday working life with natural landscapes of the surroundings.
